Summertime

I have an upcoming post in my head. And I have many pictures on my camera. The issue is getting it here on the computer. See, I have no time. How is that possible, I ask you?! I looked forward to the summertime so that I would have FREE TIME! And yet it has escaped me. The time I thought would be plentiful without school lessons every day has been taken up by......other things......other people......other commitments. (I should note that I have enjoyed all of these "others" immensely.)

I am so glad that August is here. July was beautiful. I had some of the greatest times and made some of the best memories during July. But I didn't ever have a minute to sit and catch my breath, it seems. Between 3 family reunions, 2 families visiting us, 1 work party at our house (the day after returning from a reunion), and getting some more fun boxes checked off our "home improvement" list, this has been one busy month. I loved nearly every minute of it, but it was definitely tiring.

So now we're going on vacation. And as all you mothers out there know, "vacation" doesn't really mean "vacation" when you're packing your whole family up for a camping trip. But after this past month, I think it might just actually somewhat resemble a vacation for me.

Yellowstone, here we come!

Hopefully I'll have some great pics of bears and bison for you when we get back.

Hopefully they will look nothing like this.

And hopefully I can get around to posting at least a few pics from this last month before we leave.

Fun, Random Pics

Over the weekend that we had June's blessing we had some fun with cousins. Brent made a homemade slip-n-slide and the kids all had a blast! It was over 70 feet long! :)

I caught Tink reading to Lady one morning when I got up. I love sisters! :)
