June's blessing went great on Sunday. Brent's brother was in town so it gave us a good excuse to do the blessing. Although June was very well-behaved and didn't cry at all, it's still a stressful event for Brent and I. I tried to talk him into doing the blessing at home like we did with Tink, but too many people talked us out of it. Everybody seems to think it's important for the ward to witness it, but I personally think it's a very intimate and personal thing, and I prefer to do it at home in the company of family/close friends. Although Brent gave a great blessing, he agrees that it's stressful to give a blessing in front of hundreds of people. He felt like it was hard to focus on the Spirit. (Which is how he felt after Lady's too, but apparently he'd forgotten.....so now I'm making an account of it so that if we have another baby I'll have ammo to do the blessing at home.)
We had a fun gathering afterward with Brent's side of the family. (We'll do one later with my side.)
Apparently the camera got put away before we got pics of everybody else (and the yummy food). :(
Thank you to everyone who came and to those who were there in spirit. :)
