AJ brought this note to us right before dinner tonight. (Notice her "dad"....she just started learning cursive today in Co-op.) I'm also very impressed that she remembered there was an "o" somewhere in the word "favorite." But most of all I'm blown away by her thoughtfulness in making us such a sweet card. I thought the dance she did when she saw me cutting up the apples was "thank you" enough.

I want the recipe!
I'm trying to be healthier and what-not (again), but this time it's easier because I've done it before. However, I've never "forced" my kids to also be the recipients of the healthy eating (sometimes I'd make two meals when Brandon and I did WW). Anyway, so the other night, after making this fabulous veggie and fruit tray for dinner, #1 said:
"You need to buy sprouts, mom."
"Sprouts?"
"I LOVE sprouts! They're my favorite! They're AJ's favorite, too..."
"Oh, really? Maybe I should talk to Ann about some meal ideas."
"YES! Talk to Ann about eating healthy --she knows about it."
So, gimme the recipe. :) (and I bought her sprouts yesterday!)
P.P.S. I know that's not what your post is about, and so this comment is agreeing that your daughter is sweet and wonderful. :)
We just made that last week too. I can't say my kids loved it that much though.
Mmmmmm....I love it too....even the leftovers! Just ate them for lunch. :)
Cheryl,
I'll email you the recipe. It's yummy!
Cindy,
Roo, Tink, and Lady ate it pretty well last night, but they all had a bowl of "plain rice" after. ;) AJ just has a very "adult palate." She likes a lot of foods that most kids wrinkle their noses at.
Brent,
So did AJ and I! YUMMMM!
